Join us for this Networking Evening where you’ll hear from Simon Griffiths, co-founder and CEO of Who Gives a Crap, and network with business owners of Kew and surrounds.

He’ll be talking on, among other things, the business of making a difference and lessons from running a purpose-led business.

Food and drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) are included in the ticket price.

Businesses that fall within the Kew Junction Business Association boundary will each get 1 min to introduce their business at the event.

Simon Griffiths

Simon is a man who truly does give a crap about the 2.3 billion people of the world who don’t have access to a proper toilet. So passionate is he about development aid, he sat on a toilet for 52 hours to raise $50,000 in crowd-funding donations.
 
Simon is the co-founder and CEO of Who Gives a Crap, a profit-for-purpose toilet paper company that uses 50% of its profits to build toilets in the developing world. He took something that everyone needs and used the proceeds to help people in need, and in five years has been able to donate $1.9 million to help build toilets. In 2020 Who Gives A Crap’s donations reached $8.3 million. It’s no wonder it has already expanded to the US and UK and is set to open in more locations globally.
 
In 2011, Simon was recognised by The Age’s Melbourne Magazine as one of Melbourne’s Top 100 Most Influential People and in 2013 he was shortlisted for Young Australian of the Year. He is an outstanding entrepreneur and philanthropist who has built three social enterprises focussed on revolutionising the way society thinks about philanthropy.
 
Simon is a genuinely funny man with a brilliant story to tell – without a doubt, the number one speaker for number 2s (and everything else). He’ll make you feel like anything is possible.

No refunds on ticket cancellations after Wed, June 30, however, refunds will be available should COVID restrictions require event cancellation or if you have COVID symptoms.
