Monday 8 April

FANTASTIC HAIR FUN

Learn how to create your favourite hairstyles, from braids to bunches to sparkles to bows! This workshop is kid-directed and like a big party. Bring ideas of looks you’d like to try and Angela, of Angela’s Mane Attraction, will show you just how to do them! Plus there will be lolly bags and a choice of drinks for a fun party atmosphere.

INTRODUCTION TO GOLF
Learn golf basics from a PGA Golf Professional in just one introductory class during the school holidays. The session will include a range of fun activities including swing technique and on-course play through virtual golf (using real clubs and balls), indoor putting areas, arcade-style golf games, educational golf videos, and much more! CIRCUS AND ACROBATICS – 1 PLACE LEFT
Learn zany circus skills and amazing acrobatics wit the stars of Splash Test Dummies. Try your hand at juggling, spinning plates, hula hooping, daring partner balances and a super human pyramid. Plus you’ll also get to make your own juggling balls. PS – You’ll be able to go see the Splash Test Dummies in action at their Hawthorn performance the following week!

AUTUMN FAIRY HARVEST TIME – SOLD OUT
Join True Fairies Autumn Queen as we celebrate the change of seasons with story time, drama and crafts. Make your own beautiful autumn lanterns and confetti, just like they do in fairyland!! Participating fairies and elves are invited to come in costume.

INTERMEDIATE GOLF COACHING
This session is the progressive stage from our Introduction to Golf. It’s suitable for kids who have taken junior clinics before or who have prior experience in developing golf skills. It will cover a range of activities and drills that are focused towards proper golf technique. Through the use of advanced technology in our state-of-the-art simulators, your child will have fun whilst improving their golf game! Read why golf is so great for kids!

CREATE YOUR OWN MAGIC WITH DAZZLING DAN
Spend two hours in the world of magic with the holiday workshop! Spend the first hour with a Dazzling Dan magic show where he produces a live dove and invites the children to assist, performing magic in their own hands! Then spend the second hour learning the secrets of the magician! Dazzling Dan will reveal the secrets of one of his favourite tricks and teach the children how to perform it. Lean how to combine storytelling with science and perform a magic act with confidence!

BRICKS 4 KIDZ LEGO – PRESCHOOL SESSION – WHAT’S THAT SOUND?
Bricks4Kidz will run a special 90 minute LEGO® workshop just for preschoolers. Get creative with Duplo blocks for little hands, as well as normal sized blocks, and be amazed by awesome LEGO® robots! Children will have the opportunity to explore multiple age appropriate constructive and interactive stations that encourages creativity, communication and problem solving.  Parents are requested to stay and play with their children.

Note: A primary school session is also being run on Tuesday 16 April.

HIP HOP MEETS BEATS
Join the ever-popular DAAMdance for an all-new hiphop and rhythm dance workshop. Learn to Hiphop dance with funky body percussion and rhythmic steps, incorporating various dance and exercise styles. Test your skills and have fun!

INDOOR DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY FOR KIDS
Join professional photographers of NJ Productions to learn all about shooting indoors. Learn strategies for studio lighting, the different types of equipment used in a studio, difficulties one may face when shooting indoors, plus learn some interesting facts about the history of photography and famous photographers. This is a hands-on workshop – BYO electronic device for taking photos (iPad, phone, etc) plus two props (such as toys or clothes) to photograph.

Join cartoonist and illustrator Matt Glover for his fun and interactive workshop to learn how to draw amazing animals, crazy creatures and a whole world of wonderful people! BRICKS 4 KIDZ LEGO PRIMARY SCHOOL WORKSHOP – AMAZING ANIMALS – 3 PLACES LEFT

In this fun and educational workshop kids will experience hands-on science, engineering, and technology using LEGO® bricks. Children will make their creations come to life by constructing amazing technical models and indicate mosaic and colour builds! Bricks 4 Kidz provides an extensive and flexible STEM curriculum to create a learning experience that encourages children’s critical thinking, creativity, and problem solving skills.

Note: This is a primary school aged session; we are also running a preschool aged session on Thursday 11 April.

SLEEPING BEAUTY BALLET FOR BEGINNERS
Dance the magic of the famous Sleeping Beauty Ballet. After watching a section of the Australian Ballet’s Production of Sleeping Beauty, students will then learn a part of the ‘Fairies Variations’ choreography, taught by En Pointe School of Ballet staff. The session will finish with a Sleeping Beauty craft activity. Wear your favourite dance clothing and shoes or your favourite fairy costume. If you don’t have dance shoes then bare feet will be fine! Water bottle required. No dance experience necessary!

Learn the art of fashion illustration with professional artist Mads Francis. Starting with a light template, students will be shown step-by-step how to create a piece of clothing, skin tones, hair and details, to create an illustration totally unique to their style.

OZOBOT ROBOTS – SOLD OUT
Ever wanted to play with a robot? Come and meet the team from Twisted Science and their ozobots! Watch them spin, dance, speed up, and follow the lines you draw yourself as you give the robots different codes to follow. This workshop is a fantastic introduction to the world of coding and introduces key computer science concepts in a simple (and super fun) way.
